Our First Cria "Black Onyx"

1856 Homestead Alpaca Farm is not just a name... it's an experience. The lovely Farm house was built in 1856 and the charismatic Alpacas enhance it's beauty even more. The Farm located on 55 relatively flat acres in Jackson County, West Virginia is a part of American History, complete with it's own "Mail Pouch" barn. It is approximately 35 miles from Charleston or Parkersburg on I-77.

Our family is relatively new to "Alpaca Farming" but has spent much effort, study and hard work to prepare the Farm for future growth. The Alpaca community has embraced us like family and we treat our Alpacas like family.

Our breeding program is a work in progress focused on improved density and fineness... thus an improved yield. Our Alpacas have been carefully selected with this goal in mind.

The Alpacas continue to amaze our friends and neighbors and yes... us! If you would like to share this exciting experience with these loveable animals, contact us for an appointment.
